*yawn* see thing is the report does not even mention how many apps are malware apps to begin with. It also does not mention what versions of Android these exploits effect. And not to mention half of them are those SMS ones which you have to give permission to. The other half of the apps are ones that share personal information(which happens on all platforms)

Also this article is not limited to Android Market apps, it includes all Android markets and if you read the report most users effected are in china.
