I would like to share some information... I have not been able to find a REAL guide that explains (and HAS) everything needed to install CWM and ROOT for the Galaxy Tab. This thread was made by me from a collective information found in many different forums. Credit to all DEVELOPERS. I am just a messenger... jejeje
THIS TUTORIAL IS FOR THE NEW UPDATE ON THE GALAXY TAB 10.1
THIS TUTORIAL IS MADE SO THAT NOOBS (like me on this tab) CAN ROOT AND INSTALL CWM WITH EASE!!!
For those of you that tried the Z4Root method or VISIOnary and were not successfull at rooting your tablet...
HERE IS THE WAY TO DO IT
I am not a noob with Android or with rooting devices but took me a while to find the information to root and install CWM on the Galaxy Tab 10.1... I have successfully ROOTed multiple Galaxy Tabs with the newest update with this procees... Mine for some reason did not allow the Z4Root method or the VISIOnary method... All I know is we had an OTA update and when I tried to root, it was over... jejeje
***IMPORTANT DOWNLOADS/INFORMATION***
....PRE-REQUISITES....
SAMSUNG drivers (Direct SAMSUNG Download):

ODIN_1.85.7z below (Attached to post) - THIS WILL BE USED TO FLASH CWM

recovery-cwm_4.0.0.4-sam-tab-10.1.tar.md5.7z below (Attached to post) - THIS IS THE IMAGE FILE FOR CWM FOR THE GALAXY 10.1

Galaxy_Root.7z below (Attached to post) - THIS IS THE FILE TO ROOT YOUR GALAXY 10.1
***LETS INSTALL CWM***
1.) Install the SAMSUNG DRIVERS you downloaded above (To be safe, reboot once you have done this)
2.) Connect your tablet to your PC and allow Drivers to install and configure
3.) Extract the ODIN, RECOVERY, AND ROOT 7z onto your PC... Anywhere that you will remember...
(((THESE WILL GENERATE A GALAXY_ROOT.ZIP, A RECOVERY-CWM_4.0.0.4-SAM-TAB-10.1.TAR.MD5, AND A ODIN FOLDER)))
4.) Turn off your tablet and restart using the VOL- and PWR buttons (VOL- is the one closest to the PWR button)... Wait until you see the "Downloading" Android Image (Keep it connected to PC)
5.) Press VOL+ to select... If your tablet gives you a warning... READ IT... then press continue by pressing VOL+ (This is a disclaimer)
6.) The tablet will go into DOWNLOAD mode and give the status of CONNECTED!, go ahead and start the ODIN executable from your PC.
7.) Within ODIN, place a checkmark on BOOTLOADER then click on the button BOOTLOADER and select the RECOVERY image that you extracted (the .md5 file).
8.) Press START on ODIN. Once completed, it will show "ALL THREADS COMPLETED. (succeed 1 / failed 0)" If you do not get this, try again as CWM did not flash correctly...
***LETS INSTALL ROOT***
1.) Once you have successfully installed CWM (with steps above) transfer the Galaxy_Root.zip to your tablet... (Uncheck USB Debugging and it should come up as USB)
2.) Reboot into recovery by holding the PWR and VOL-, Press the VOL- button to select RECOVERY (the Android with a box at the top) and then press the VOL+ button as that is the select button on this screen...
3.) Go to "install zip from sd" option and find the Galaxy_Root.zip and flash it.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED CWM AND ROOT TO YOUR GALAXY TABLET!!! jejeje
NOW GO OUT THERE AND DOWNLOAD YOUR CUSTOM ROMS AND KERNELS!!! jejeje
