It'll be interesting to see the fallout when people that can "code" start to angrily write exploits that doesn't unlock or root a phone anymore for the end users, but charges up a sh!t storm on your bill instead. When the carriers tell you to pay up or else, class action counter-suits form saying that, the carrier explicitly prevented you from protecting yourself by, a.) preventing you from uninstalling the virus (lack of root) or b.) flashing a more up-to-date kernel, and c.) did nothing to help since they refuse to make upgrades as fast as Google patches the Android OS that may have block the exploit in the first place.
And we thought fragmentation was bad! Because we all know that Google thoroughly checks ALL submitted apps to verify they do what is claimed and there is no history of viruses
EVER in the Google market to date--rrrright?
