I got an HTC shift a couple of days ago, and am trying to root it but have been unsuccessful. I am following the instructions here (
More Detailed Perm Root Instructions - xda-developers) but when I access the phone with adb, I get a "permission denied" error from any command I type. I have the SDK, HTC Sync, and have the phone set to use USB debugging. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
