for ANdroid to see Ad-Hoc, you need to change the wpa_supplicant file in System/bin using Root EXPLORER or Android Mate....

ive done this mod to my TP running Android, but i dont know if the same one works for Tablets... ill attach it, heres what to do..

. goto System/bin and backup your orginal wpa_supplicant file somewhere
. copy/paste the New wpa_supplicant file into System/bin
. reset Android
. turn on Wifi Router, WmWifiRouter, or the like
. Turn on wifi on Android and scan for networks
. Ad-hoc should now be visible
. enjoy

**note** wpa_supplicant is just a file.. no extension
