I'm no expert and still new to this coming from Windows for several years but I think you are mistaken.

I have used Titanium to restore contacts and settings. Found out settings are in Back up/restore.

I chose [DESKTOP] HTC Sense and all of my folders I made and everything in them always restore perfectly even with the missing links of the apps (if I haven't re installed that app)

I chose [Alarms} Clock 1.00 and my alarms and the tone for them were set instantly.

User dictionary is in there too.



Haven't quite figured out the contacts altho I have done both multiple times after wipes or hard resets or flashing to different roms. But I think its the one that says [CONTACTS/CALLS]
