It depends on whether you are using Outlook
with Exchange or not.
Regular Outlook user (not exchange), you can sync with an Android phone by Exporting your contacts, saving it as a CSV file. Go into your Gmail account and upload the CSV file in your contacts. You may need to fix the contact entries because they may not transfer correctly (titles becomes first names, etc.) To sync your calendar, use
Google Calendar Sync.
Or, you could use paid programs to do this. I tried Companion Link and was not terribly impressed with it but that's just me. I think the program cost $29.99 but you can try it before you buy.
