Question Bluetooth External GPS - automatic enabling?

I have a Verizon Touch Pro 2. The external GPS over bluetooth works great but I have to manually enable it each time I want to use it. Heres the deal...

When I get in my car, a 2009 Pontiac G8, and power it up, the phone automatically connects to the bluetooth and enables the hands-free functionality. However, it does not automatically enable the GPS functionlity, I have to go into the Bluetooth settings app and manually enable it. Once I have manually enabled it, it works great.

I would like to configure it so that I don't have to manually enable it and that it just automatically enables like the hands-free does. Is there a way to do this?

And before you ask, yes the phone does have GPS functionality built-in, but the Onstar GPS receiver in my car is much more accurate than the one in the phone.

Thanks!
