Yep.
get your hands on one and you never have to worry about unlocking again, just stick any SIM card (even T-Mobile) and you're good.
the "U.S version" has a lock in the baseband preventing you from using it on other carriers, these don't have that.
But as you can see they're expensive and harder to get a hold of.
