Building Manila pages?

I have started playing with skinning parts of the Sense home screen. I have a question about the manila files that make up the flip clock. Normally the actual flip panel on both the left and right side are rendered from the same manila files, single down and single up. Is there anyway to make it so they work off of two sets of files? So that each the left and right side would have its own file sets. I want to be able to have a different picture file rendered to each side.

I take it that it would involve making two new manila files and all their dependencies. I can't say I can do that. Picture editing is easy but time consuming, actual code writing has never been my bag.

I have played with photoshop real quick to kind of show what I'm looking to do with one of my ideas. This one would involve making two more background(flip panel) files for stack up and stack down. I could make the actual(grey) background hold the flip clock frame work but then problems would arise if you were using Max Manila or a transparent background mod, etc, etc.

So the real question is how big can the pictures be made? Currently it's slightly bigger in size then the front panel of the flip clock. Could it be made to stretch across the screen?

Lets try to narrow this down. I'm guessing I can do something with M9 editor. What I do not know is the scripting and dependencies. Is that taken care of in the editor or is that something else entirely different? How do I even start to produce a manila page from scratch?

I'm not looking for anybody to produce anything for me I will try my best to do it myself. It would be nice to get some help in the right direction though. I have done some searching on the subject but what I've found so far is not helping me in the directions I need.
