For those of us that have the 3G and not the 3GS, there is a way to be able to record video and even post those vids to the net.
First the iPhone needs to be jailbroken
Download Cycorder and PPVideoEnabler from ROCK/CYDIA.
Download PixelPipe from the AppStore (it's free).
Set up a PixelPipe account. YOu will be able to upload pics to facebook, myspace, twitter, and TONS and TONS more.
Open PPVideoEnabler and set the option "Enable video uploads from Cycorder via Pixelpipe" to on.
Now you will be able to use pixelpipe with the vids recorded with cycorder
