That's not cool at all. I had two customers within a week come into my store with the same exact issue that you had. The flat gray piece of plastic that separates the pins was cracked and broken off. I checked it out thoroughly and noticed it's a design flaw. I cracked one off just by pushing down gently with a toothpick...if that tells you how easily they break. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't have made you file an insurance claim for that. :-/
