Not receiving calls in CMDA Only mode?

I switched my phone out of Global mode to CDMA only mode last night, in an attempt to help my battery life. It worked (thanks Toysrme), and I was still at 100% after 4 hours, but for some reason I'm not getting incoming calls. Only about 1/10 will go through, even when I have signal.

Could this be related to a reception problem? I have 2-3 bars of normal signal at my house, but for some reason I'm always connected to 3G even though I don't have any bars shown. This happens regardless of the mode, however, but all of my calls seemed to go through on global.
