This is not true, its a race to the bottom as well..similar to netbooks. think free wm6.5 phones with contract or a calculator for 30 bucks or music players running wm6.5

While wm7 supported devices will obviously be well specced, many people will be happy with cheaper devices for simpler tasks. Not everyone wants a super computer in their pocket but may want to have something above a dumb phone.

If anything were to kill WM6.5 it would be android as even though it is cheaper then wm7 will be, can it beat free.
