I got SlingPlayer Mobile to work on my HTC Snap (non-WiFi Sprint). I had issues (forget the details) downloading the file to my PC and using ActiveSync to get the install completed. So I gave up on that route.

Instead, from the Snap, I hit mobile.slingmedia.com and told the website I was using a Samsung BlackJack. That got me the install file "SlingPlayer-Mobile-Smartphone-1.6.0.62-US". It installed fine and after a somewhat cumbersome "Add a Slingbox" process (where you can't just "login" and see your registered Sling Players like the full PC version, instead you need to enter the freaking 20 digit identifier for your Sling) -- things were working.

It's not bad, what happened to be on at the time was a football game, which certainly pushes the limits of a tiny screen and low-end broadband speeds... but it was watchable.
