Find 590ad244_manila on your phone, copy it to your PC, open it with notepad or similar program (590ad244_manila is an xml file), and look for <trans-unit id="IDS_NOAPPOINTMENTS">. Delete the text in the line below between <source></source>. That's how it works on for manila 2.1, I'm not sure what version you're running. This will only cause it to not show the "No Appointments" text. All day events and appointments will still show.
