Re: Google Maps not working the same???? HELP

Just recently installed Google Maps on my Touch Pro2.

Location is determined in two ways on the TP2: with and without GPS.
Without GPS, you'll get the 1600-3000 m error you mention; with GPS enabled, you'll get around 10 m error.

You must tell Google Maps to use GPS: load Google Maps, select Menu, and you shoud see a "Use GPS" option. (This assumes, of course, that 1) your device has GPS enabled (i.e. the carrier hasn't locked it) and 2) that you're out side where the device can get clear access to GPS sattalites.

Also, not sure if this is necessary or not, see if you have QuickGPS installed on your device, and if so, run it. It will download parameters that will help your device establish a GPS location quicker.
