I don't use Windows Live for Live\Hotmail. I have been using Outlook Mobile for at least a year. Here are the setting
POP3: pop3.live.com
SMTP: smtp.live.com
UserID: Needs to be your full email address (
joe.blow@live.com)
There is on trick though...Oulook Mobile will redirect you to Windows Live if you enter a Live\Hotmail email address to start with. So, I enter my address, but change temporarily change the server name to something else (
joe.blow@live1.com). That way Outlook Mobile does not redirect you. After I finish with the setup, I go back and correct the server name. No problems.
