I do not have either of those problems. Didn't have them with the stock ROM, nor numerous other custom ROMs I've used. Try flashing back to stock if not on it now, and hard reset the phone by taking out the battery, putting it back in, and then holding down arrow and the middle of the circle on the pad, and while holding, press and hold the power button...
