Whats the difference between the adapters that come with the phones to let u plug in wired headphones, use auxillary cords and use the TV Out feature?

can you still use tv out if u use the g1 adapter? i had them both and they look exactly the same the only thing that looks slightly difference is the charging port at the bottom of them
