I was looking for a way to transfer music from my phone to my pc, as i finally got it back from office depot. I came across a program called copy trans. Not only can it be used to retrieve your music, but it can actually replace iTunes. To learn more about it go here:

An app that I found to replace mobile me is called my.memova. It works great for backing up your contacts. I dont think it will do calendars yet, but maybe soon. My only concern is security. And again, its free.
