I have the same issue, when viewing msn.com mobile site's videos.
But, I notice that 3GP is referenced in the URL. I don't think that Windows Media on Windows Mobile would play that, would it? Streaming Media Player would be the appropriate player for such a video. Either way, It's not you, it's their poorly done site, as far as I can see.
